We are the 29%

29% Festival is a FREE festival for young people, celebrating the talent and ambition across Bradford. Common/Wealth's Youth Board and Speakers Corner Collective host this weekend of unmissable events!

Friday 28th November 5pm – 9pm An evening for girls, young women and people of other marginalised identities. Get glammed up with your friends, recharge your batteries and connect with young creatives in a safe and inspiring space. 

Try magazine making, a dance workshop and reflect how you can use your voice to make a difference in your community. Then sing the night away at our Eat-Along Bollywood film experience with free food from Sonia Sandhu!

Saturday 29th November 12pm – 8pmWe’re not joking there is something for everyone! Three floors of activity: gaming, new writing, make-up and modelling, a rap battle, boxing, a UV bassline day rave, crafts, live music, afrobeats and a glamorous cabaret of drag and dance.

Everyone presenting work is under 25. Headline sets from IFB and Niall M1. There will be pancakes too!

Adult Attendance 

29% Festival is for young people up to the age of 25. Adults may attend if accompanying young people/groups or by invite only. You can make group bookings via the ticket link or by contacting saoirse@commonwealththeatre.co.uk

If you are an adult who would like to see the young people's commissioned work, for potential future bookings or collaborations, then please contact Common/Wealth directly via; saoirse@commonwealththeatre.co.uk. There will be a designated room for adults to relax whilst young people enjoy the day.
